This beautiful Russian hand carved Santa Claus is intricately hand painted in watercolor by the artist to enhance details in the face, beard and costume - NOTICE THE LOVELY DETAILING ON SANTA'S BAG AND CLOAK! It is lightly lacquered so it is easily cleaned and protected. The solid linden wood is dried for almost 2 years before it is carved. (Note: These are not molded or mass produced as are some molded resin Santas from China. All Russian Santas are handcarved from Linden Wood and each one is a unique piece!) This Grandfather Frost (as he is called in Russia) is made in Sergei Posad, Russia. This Santa is signed by the artist, Victoria. The Santa measures approximately 10 inches tall by 4 inches wide.
