This fantastic little Russian hand carved Santa Claus is hand carved and hand painted in dark red and metallic gold paint by the artist to enhance details in the face, beard and costume creating a unique and bright Santa statuette.

This fantastic little Russian hand carved Santa Claus is hand carved and hand painted in dark red and metallic gold paint by the artist to enhance details in the face, beard and costume creating a unique and bright Santa statuette. This Santa is very lightly lacquered so it is easily cleaned and protected. The solid linden wood is dried for almost 2 years before it is carved. (Note: These are not mass produced molded resin from China. All Russian Santas are handcarved from Linden Wood) This Grandfather Frost (as he is called in Russia) is made in Sergei Posad, Russia and is signed by the artist. The Santa measures approximately 7" tall by 3" wide.
