This beautiful and glittery Russian hand carved Santa Claus is intricately hand carved and hand painted by the artist to enhance details in the face, beard and costume. It is lightly lacquered so it is easily cleaned and protected. The solid linden wood is dried for almost 2 years before it is carved so it will never crack. (Note: These are not molded or mass produced as are some molded resin Santas from China. All Russian Santas are handcarved from Linden Wood) This Grandfather Frost (as he is called in Russia) is made in Sergei Posad Russia, and is initialed by the artist. The Santa measures approximately 6.5” tall.
PLEASE NOTE: Since these are handpainted they may vary slightly in the details in such areas as glitter and swirls on the costume. All the major features are as pictured.
