HAND PAINTED RUSSIAN NUTCRACKER STATUETTE

This sweet Russian Nutcracker is hand carved and hand painted by the artist creating this amazing decoration. Please notice the details painted on his hat and costume - especially the gem on his hat. This statuette is lacquered so it is easily cleaned and protected. The solid linden wood is dried for almost 2 years before it is carved. (Note: These are not mass produced molded resin from China. All Russian Santas and Nutcrackers are handcarved from Linden Wood.) This wonderful decoration (it does not crack nuts) is made in Sergei Posad, Russia. The mouth of this Nutcracker moves and does open and close! (See pictures below of his mouth both open and closed.) This artistic Nutcracker measures approximately 8.75 inches tall by 3 inches wide.
